Beef Sirloin Steak x 2

£16.95£32.95

Sirloin steak is well-flavoured and needs to be cooked carefully and rested properly to ensure it is not chewy. The cut comes from the large back muscle attached to the spine. This means it has a bigger, beefier flavour than fillet or rib-eye steaks, making it more suitable for highly flavoured sauces.
We source local meat from farms in Wiltshire, Somerset and the South West, and make sure that we get the absolute best and most sustainable breeds for the season. Our free range cows feed on grass and lead happy lives in the great British countryside. By working with local produce and farmers, we promote and encourage a sustainable and ethical approach to meat eating. This reduces animal stress and lowers food miles as much as possible.

Cooking Instructions

Beef Sirloin Steak Cooking Instructions:

Grill Method:

Preparation: Remove the beef sirloin steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
Seasoning: Rub with olive oil, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or frying pan to high heat.
Cooking: Grill the sirloin steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if preferred. The steak should reach an internal temperature of 54-57°C.
Resting: Rest the steak for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Serve: Plate the steak with a side of garlic butter and roasted vegetables for a classic steak dinner.

Oven Method:

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or gas mark 6. Bring the steak to room temperature.
Seasoning: Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Searing: Sear the sirloin steak in an ovenproof pan for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
Oven Cooking: Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and cook for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare.
Resting: Let the steak rest for 5 minutes under foil.
Serve: Serve with garlic butter and roasted vegetables.

Storage Instructions

To maintain the freshness and quality of your Sirloin Steak, it is recommended to store it in the refrigerator at a temperature of 32°F to 40°F (0°C to 4°C). Keep the steak in its original packaging or place it in an airtight container to prevent any exposure to air or potential cross-contamination. Properly stored, the Sirloin Steak can be refrigerated for up to 3-4 days. If you want to extend its shelf life, you can also freeze the steak. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil, or place it in a freezer-safe bag or container before freezing. Frozen Sirloin Steak can maintain its quality for approximately 3-4 months. Remember to thaw frozen steak in the refrigerator before cooking for the best results.

The only component from our packaging that can’t be recycled are the foil liners which need to be go in household waste; the poly bags meat comes in needs to go in plastic recycling.
